Latest Update
Dear Friends,
As you may recall, just over a year ago we began holding worship services in the community of Gössendorf in addition to the services that we have been holding in the community of Stattegg since November of 2008. We launched this new church –plant out of our home, since we actually live in this community. We began with guys, with whom I play football. We have also been able to invite friends of ours from the community. One family in particular has been extremely faithful to attend.
This past May we received permission from the “Chapel Fellowship of Gössendorf,” a group that oversees the upkeep and usage of the chapel, to hold a service in the public chapel in Gössendorf. In July we were able hold another service in the chapel and we began exploring the opportunity to hold regular services there, as we do in the chapel in Stattegg. On August 15, by God’s grace, I signed an agreement with the Chapel Fellowship that allows us to hold a monthly service in this facility.
It is our goal to use this opportunity to establish ourselves in a very visible way in our community. We want to not only be able to reach out to those with whom we already have a friendship, but also to those within our community that we have yet to meet. This past Sunday we took a positive step in that direction. An elderly woman showed up to worship with us due to having read the announcement about our services, which was posted on the bulletin board outside of the chapel. It is my prayer that we will, in the coming weeks and months, be able to see even more locals attend our services, both in Gössendorf and in Stattegg. Please pray that God would continue to give us opportunities to share the life-changing message of the Gospel here in Austria.
God bless,
Danny, Krista, Nate, Micah and Grace
